Ever missed a lecture? Or your phone sounded loudly in the midst of a lecture?
We’re humans and such are bound to fall into such awkward situations! No matter how cautious you are these's always a probability that errors will occur.
So as a student of engineering here is the tool I’ve been using since the past 2 years on to track my lectures and make sure I don’t miss any of them. Also not to mention I’d also tracked the attendance using the app. Yes, you heard it right, it’s a “free android App”. I use the App ‘School Assistant’ to alarm me about the lectures/lab classes.
Here are the features of the application:
1. Adding Semesters, scheduling their duration.
2. Adding subjects, teachers and classroom locations.
3. Marking attendance to keep a note of how many classes you’ve attended and missed.
4. Adding tests and assessments.
5. An extremely cool feature, Turn down the volume of your phone i.e. switch to vibrate mode during classes.
6. Providing push notifications about the lectures/classes about 2 minutes in advance so that you can rush off and reach on time!
Following are the screenshots of my set-up:
You may click this link to download & visit the developer of the App for more details.
Now all you need to do is just download the app, set it for your lectures and boom! You’re done…
The set-up/configure might be a bit boring and you may end up creating a few errors so please be cautious. Also the developer has taken due care and efforts to make the app automated. It somehow knows the duration and classes as you’re feeding in your timetable making it easier for you to complete the rest.
Bonus:
If you’re from my Batch i.e. B2 TE-Civil(2016-17), TCOER you can download the timetable that I’d created for myself and then you just need to import the file into the application and save a lot of time and efforts.
